What is a non-surgical nose job and is it permanent?
Non-surgical nose jobs are done to removing small defects of the nose, camouflaging humps and gaining symmetry. Surgical rhinoplasties or nose jobs are performed to reduce the size of the nose by taking tissue away and/or reshape the nose. Non-surgical nose jobs are done with fillers and therefore add to the volume of the nose. Patients who are candidates for this procedure need to be chosen with care to ensure the results meet the objectives of the patient.
Non-surgical nose jobs or rhinoplasties are most often done with temporary fillers known as hyaluronic acid fillers or HA’s and these fillers usually last 12 to 24 months. Examples of HAs include Juvederm and Restylane.
There is a permanent filler that can be used for a non-surgical nose job called Bellafill that gets great reviews. It is a great filler and I almost always use it for the nose because it works extremely well and patients love it because it is permanent.
