LIPO IS SAFE - IN THE RIGHT HANDS

Reporter Kristy Steeves from Fox8 recently spent almost a day with Drs. Stroup and Windle, producing a story in response to national reports of unusually high death rates from liposuction surgery. The key storyline was that patients should be sure their cosmetic surgeons are board certified with hospital privileges and that the procedure is performed in a fully equipped and staffed outpatient surgical facility. Since any M.D. is legally allowed to perform cosmetic surgery, many physicians are doing cosmetic procedures for which they are not properly trained. Problems can also arise when major procedures are performed in an office setting.
