Understanding IPL treatments -

The IPL produces a beam of highly concentrated light. The light emitted by the IPL is absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicles. The hair follicle must be dark in color; it will not work on white, blonde, grey or red hair. The IPL pulses for only a fraction of a second. This is just long enough to disable numerous follicles at a time to significantly impede the hair’s growth.
The IPL is attracted to the hair that is in the active stage of growth, which is called the Anagen stage. There are 3 stages of hair growth. Therefore, multiple treatments are needed to see desired results. Six to eight treatments in one specific area is recommended to start seeing a reduction of hair growth. We have packages available to provide you with the best results.

What you can expect -

The length of the session may be a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on the size of the area being treated. The appearance of the treated area immediately after an IPL session will vary from patient to patient depending on the extent of treatment and skin type. Immediate after-effects, if any, are minor. There may be redness and mild swelling, which will diminish in a short time. Most people return to normal activities right away.

Are the results permanent?

IPL hair removal will provide a significant reduction in hair follicles, and possibly permanent hair removal. Your body can stimulate hair growth at any time due to hormonal changes.
